Garrett R. Farr Scholarship

To: College Community High School Seniors
Re: Garrett R. Farr Scholarship
The Garrett R. Farr Scholarship, provided through the Project SAFE Committee is to be awarded to a current high school graduating senior (Class of 2025) in the Cedar River Corridor Area.
There will be $3,000 set aside in scholarships money, with a minimum of $500 provided to the academic institution for any one scholarship.
The following pages explain the application process. Keep in mind that the criteria is not primarily academics. Applications are due April 15, 2025. The money when awarded goes directly to the school towards tuition or books. Winners need to provide us your school ID number and address and phone number of the school, so payment can be made.
Garrett R. Farr Construction Trade Scholarship:
A scholarship will be provided to a student who plans to attend a construction trade institution in the areas of building: including plumbing, electric, heating/AC, construction, etc.
Please submit:
- Completed Application
- Grades 9-12 transcript (last semester may be omitted)
- List of community services, activities, personal interests and employment
- Letter of recommendation
- Personal essay, see requirements below (trade industry).
Garrett R. Farr Life Achievement Scholarship:
A scholarship will be provided to a student who plans to attend community college or a 4-year university.
Please submit:
- Completed Application
- Grades 9-12 transcript (last semester may be omitted)
- List of community services, activities, personal interests and employment
- Letter of recommendation
- Personal essay, see requirements below.

There will be $1,000 set aside in scholarships money, with a minimum of $500 provided to the academic institution for any one scholarship.
